Looking for when is Quds Day in 2017?
If yes, you have come to the right place. Quds Day in 2017 will be observed on Thursday, 22nd June.
Quds Day is an annual event held on the last Friday of Ramadan that was initiated by the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979 to express support for the Palestinians. Al Quds Day event was met by angry resistance from members and supporters of the Jewish Defence League (JDL) Canada.
Qods is the first Qiblah of Muslims. Since the end of Ramadan can vary from country to country, if the last day of Ramadan is a Friday or Saturday in Iran, al-Quds day will be held the week before. In some countries, due to lack of police authorization on Friday, the rally is made on another day or there is only permission for holding conferences on that day.
However, Quds Day in 2017 will begin on the evening of Thursday, 22nd June and will end on the evening of Friday, 23rd June.
