Konark is a small town in the Puri District in the Indian state of Orissa and is located near the city of Bhubaneshwar. This may be a small town but carries immense importance because of the presence of the Sun Temple here. However, the deity in the temple has been shifted to Jangannth Puri and every year a humungous procession carrying the deities on a huge chariot can be witnessed here.
