The 7 Wonders of India
The Seven Wonders of India initiative was held nationwide with states clubbed under 16 clusters. After the commencement of this campaign, seven top wonders in each state cluster were declared. A top wonder was then chosen as a nominee from each of these states for the final seven wonders of India. The “Seven Wonders” are: the Red Fort, Jaisalmer Fort, Nalanda University, Sun Temple of Konark, Meenakshi Temple, Dholavira site and Khajuraho, Tawang Monastery in Arunachal Pradesh and the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Seven wonders of India
NDTV on 25th August 2008 announced the launch of its nationwide campaign, "7 Wonders of India", in association with the Ministry of Tourism's Incredible India campaign. A first-of-its-kind initiative, 7 Wonders of India will uncover the seven best natural and man-made marvels in the country. This is the first time that a television network has joined hands with the Ministry of Tourism to celebrate India's incredibly rich heritage.
