Kesari Phirni


A few strands of Saffron (kesar)
1 litre Milk
50 gram Basmati rice soaked
1 cup Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
a few drops of Rose water
8-10 Pistachios chopped


1. Bring the milk to a boil in a deep pan.
2. Lower the heat and let it simmer till it reduces a little. Grind the soaked rice to a coarse paste.
3. Add a little milk to it and mix to make it a little thinner.
