Drumstick Curry

Ingredients:

8 fresh Drumsticks
4 Dry Kashmiri Chillies
1/2 cup Grated coconut
3 Cloves
1/2 teaspoon Cumin
4 Cloves of Garlic
1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
Few Sprigs Curry leaves
1 large Onion sliced
1 tablespoon Oil
Water Enough to cover up all the drumsticks
Salt To taste
Kokum 3 pieces

Method:

1. Wash, skin and cut up the drumsticks into 3 inch long pieces. Boil in lightly salted water till soft.
2. While the drumsticks are boiling grind together the coconut, cloves, cumin, garlic and turmeric.
3. In a pot put in 1 tablespoon oil add the mustard seeds, and curry leaves when they crackle add the sliced onions and fry. Add the ground masala and mix well with the onions add in the drumsticks along with the water. Add more salt if required, drop in the Kokum and simmer for 10 minutes.
