The owner of the restaurant, fondly called Appa retained every tiny pieces of furniture along with the flavor of the food. He happily declares “nothing is changed”. Batata wada, idli, upma, sambar with sev and kanda pohe are must-tries when you visit this canteen. Matar Usal with slice is available round the year.

  • Good Luck Cafe

Located in Deccan Gymkhana, Good Luck is an old Irani restaurant frequented visited by film stars and college goers. Their bun maska available for Rs 10, omelette with bhurji at Rs 10 is awesome. Taste the kheema for Rs 45 and biryani which are some of the favorite items of the patrons here. Caramel Pudding is a ‘must’ try item here. Restaurant remains open from 7 AM to 11.30 PM. Serving Puneites and the tourists since 1932, this Irani hotel is known for its uniqueness in non-vegetarian fare. This hotel is known to have been visited by famous film stars including Subhash Ghai and Shabana Azmi during their struggle period.

  • German Bakery

Located in the posh locality of Koregaon Park Vaswani Nagar, North Main Road, Koregaon Park, German bakery has best German bread in Pune. It is also one of the favorite breakfast joints among the Punites. The bakery has some really yummy, unheard of treats which includes avocado roll, burger with salads and chips, kambucha, omelettes, ABC juice, feta cheese sandwich, fruit salad, Danish pastry, ingenuous chocolate cake and masala chai. Located at 6 M.G, Camp Cantonment, Pune in a Heritage building over 100 years old, Marz-o-rin is one of the well known fast-food establishments in Pune. Founded in 1965 by Mr. Sheriar J. Sheriyarji with only 4 items in the menu, today Marz-o-Rrin has over 150 items and is one of the most well known food joints in Pune. They have continued to serve quality foods with quick service at affordable prices. You can take away or dine in as the restaurant is capable of accommodating more than one hundred people. Some of the must tried items are rolls and burgers, sandwiches along with milkshakes, fruit drinks and ice-creams. They also have an extensive selection of whole-wheat products, hot bakes and grilled sandwhiches as well. Other items in the menu includes Chicken roll with Mayonnaise sauce which is the ‘signature dish’ here, Green chutney and tomato vegetable sandwich, Baked beans with Chicken, Macaroni, Spaghetti and cold coffee.

It has another outlet in ABC Farm, North Main Road, Koregaon Park. It’s a fun-to-be-there place, crowded mostly by young folks. The prices are reasonable – mini burgers are available at Rs 25 and jumbo burgers are Rs 45. This is also one of the rare places in Pune that serves beef burgers. Besides burgers, the menu includes French fries, delicious hotdogs and an assortment of beverages. Restaurant is open from 11.30 AM to 10 PM.
