India however, can be a very diverse and complex country; some say it causes a sensory overload at times. Although Indians speak a number of different languages across different states, Hindi is the national language. Although English is widely spoken in the bigger cities, it’s handy to know a few phrases in the local language and communicate at a more personal level with people around you to get around better. Plus, it’ll earn you some cool points with the locals and enhance your India travel experience.
