Upcoming Cars in India in July 2009

Tata Indicruz

After the announcement of its high-profile Nano, Tata next with improved versions of earlier launched cars Sumo Grande and Indica Vista. Now the Tata is planning to come up with Tata Indicruz. This car is actually Tata Xover concept car that was earlier showcased at 75th Geneva Motorshow in year 2005. Indicruz has some design changes compated to Xover. It has high roof ensuring more passenger space compared to the latter's sleek roofline. Indicruz has also got embedded lights. The car is likely to be around 4.85-meter long, will use a rugged frame-based design with large interior space and seating for upto 7 adults and will have ample cargo area. It is also likely to have traction control, climate control with personalized zones, navigation system, airbags for driver & passenger, anti-lock braking system and other safety options.

Hyundai Avante

Hyundai Avante is upgraded version on existing Elantra and expected to hit Indian roads in mid-2009, the car was displayed at the 9th Auto Expo in New Delhi early this year. The car has all nice features and has a very contemporary looks both in exteriors as well as interiors. It has got roomy cabin, sleek dashboard architecture and all the controls and instruments feature soothing blue backlighting. It also has got twin front airbags and digital climate control. It is a refined machine and has very little wind and road noise intrusion with great body control.

Skoda Fabia Combi

Looks as if Skoda is all set for the emerging car market of India. The company is planning to launch Fabia Combi at a price less than Rs 10 lakh by mid-2009 in the country. The consumers in the country are looking for better cars that could deliver comfort, mileage and performance. Fabia Combi is likely to create its own place in the heart of Indian car lovers and will compete with Ford Fusion, Tata Indigo Marina and Chevrolet Optra SRV in Indian market, Now lets have some healthy competition.

Audi Q5

This new five-seater SUV will be based on the new Audi A4. Audi will start the production of Q5 in 2008. The car is likely to be showcased at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2008. This car will be fully equipped with hill-descent control, adjustable air suspension,in-house seven speed dual clutch gearbox and it will be powered by four cylinder engines, V6s, and TDI engines.

Nissan Murano

Murano was first appeared in the United States roads as a large crossover in December 2002. Some of the various features of Murano will be quad-projector headlamps, rear side features new LED tail lamps, climate control, memory seats and mood lighting. Bluetooth, push starter button, 11-speaker Bose unit with a 9.3 GB hard-disk and LCD screens for rear-seat passengers. It might be the first of the cars to roll out from the company's plant at Chennai.

Maruti is expected to come up with its Splash model early 2009.First showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the car has been put into production in Magyar Suzuki Corporation in Hungary. Inspired by its popular Swift, this hatchback would be targeted at families who need extra space in the car. It's slightly bigger then the regular hatchback's in Indian Market. Splash will come in both petrol(1.3 litre) and diesel engines(1.3 litre multi jet ) versions.
