Freida Pinto is a model and actress by profession from India. She is known for her performance in her debut movie “Slumdog Millionaire” where she played the role of Latika. Before she became an inspiring celebrity, Freida was struggling to make a name as an actress in Indian Film Industry. Prior to her debut film, Freida Pinto anchored “Full Circle,” an international travel show showcasing the life and traditions in Asia and in the Pacific Islands. It was aired on Zee International Asia Pacific between the year 2006 and 2007, giving Pinto the opportunity to explore Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Fiji and Afghanistan, among others.

In her early career, Freida Pinto modeled for advertisements for product like DeBeers Diamonds, Hutch, Visa, eBay, Chanel, Airtel, Skoda and Wrigley’s Chewing Gum. Other achievements of Freida Pinto includes participating in the promotion of History Channel, MTV, Sahara, live press demo for Chanel and fashion shoot for Pakistan TV. While modeling for two years, Pinto appeared on high-profile magazine covers and walked on runway shows.
Freida studied acting at Barry John’s Acting Studio in Andheri. After six months of auditions, the aspiring actress was shortlisted, received a call from the Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle and was finally selected to play the role of Latika. The movie bagged the Best Picture in the Academy Awards in 2009, while the entire cast won the “Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture” in the Screen Actors Guild Award. Freida Pinto was nominated for the Best Supporting Role in BAFTA Awards.

After she proved her acting props in ‘Slumdog Millionaire,’ Frieda Pinto has graced almost every magazine cover in the United States, as well as attending many big events in and around the UK and US. Frieda Pinto will be seen in Woody Allen’s new movie with Hollywood big names, such as Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins, Josh Brolin and Naomi Watts.

As she finds 10th place in the world’s sexiest women in the world it seems that her popularity graph will always be in the upward swing. She is at par with most beautiful people like Christina Applegate, Michelle Obama, Halle Berry, George Clooney, Christina Anguilera and Anjelina Jolie, to name a few.
