No Kidding in Bollywood: Child artists to Super Stars

Child Artists have always been a very potential, upcoming as well as an essential sector in any kind of Cinema. Bollywood too has been home to many child artist, some who have made it big as successful stars later, while some have just faded away from the minds of people.
In early days, stereotyped child artists in Indian movies would be fair, chubby, light eyed kids with a beaming smile and innocent faces. Well known actress, Sarika, of the 'Parzania' fame, has acted in 60 movies as a male child artist, and was known as Baby Sooraj, when the credits of the films were displayed.
Times have changed where once a child artists had to go through grueling working hours, missing out schools, tiresome screen takes and re-takes and paid less compared to other actors. However, unlike its counter part, Hollywood has had cases where exposure to the media, hype and early involvements with drugs to cope with work pressure have been part of the likes of famous child artists-turned-superstars, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Macaulay Culkin and Lindsay Lohan.
