Who's the new girl?

The day started like any other day in Splitsvilla. The girls were still recovering from the shock of Aarti's elimination. The rest of the girls were all in their rooms gossiping and chatting non-stop. When all of the sudden comes a new girl - Prianca. The girls are stunned by the entry of another new girl. And Prianca even looked like a major threat to them. And we also got to see Ritu's funny side as she imitated Prianca's accent and style of talking. The girls kept discussing about how to apply pepper spray
on Prianca's clothes when she goes for a date with the guys and while their plottings were going on, Ranvijay called them for a 'Bajaate Raho' session.

This time, Ranvijay asked the girls to list the names of 4 people, they didn't consider a threat or a competition in the show.
The responses were like this - Meenakshi(2nd time voted), Hoorzan, Yamini and Annie(again for the 2nd time). So these 4 girls went into the 'Dumping Zone'. This time however, the girls didn't have a date, like everyone expected. Instead, they had a task and whoever won it would go back to the safe zone. The girls wondered about what the task was going to be. Soon they found out.

A fight
After the vote-outs, the girls went back to their rooms. Prianca was talking with the girls. She started talking about each girl as if she knew them before hand. This made Hoorzan suspicious about whether she has been scripted into the show, which seemed obvious. And then it started, Hoorzan furling accusations, Prianca defending her self. It was a total show down and the rest of the girls looked on.

Rock Climbing
The next day, all the girls were summoned for an outdoor activity. The girls were taken near some rocks and they knew that there was going to be some tasks. There was huge rock and the 2 guys were on top. Ranvijay announced that the 4 voted out girls had to climb the rock and whoever climbed the fasted would win. The girls were all geared up with safety equipments. It goes to show that this show is not just about flirting and looking pretty. The girls had to climb the rock and reach the top, proving their mettle. The first one to go was Hoorzan.

She started off slowly but was finding it really difficult. When she reached the middle, her gear kept going round in circles. And just when we thought she would reach the top, her time was up. The next one to go was Yamini, who also struggled with the ropes but she managed to climb up and reach the boys.

Seeing this, the next in line Annie also got charged up to do well. But she had problems learning the techniques. But she push forward and finally reached the top. The last one was Meenakshi, and it really seemed to every one that she wouldn't be able to do it. The boys also were just waiting for the session to get over with. Read about her challenge in MTV Splitsvilla - Episode 2. But to everyone's surprise, despite her heavy built, she climbed with so much ease and like a professional climber. She was the true winner.

The Eventful Date and the Elimination.

As I watched the show, I realized not winning the task was the first thing that went against Hoorzan. Listening to Vishal's comment that either she should be good in tasks or good in flirting, I knew he wasn't quite impressed by her. However, here the 3 girls - Yamini, Annie and Hoorzan were getting a second chance. To date with the guys. Well, Hoorzan should have jumped on this chance. What do you guys think?

The guys came to to the villa in the traditional manner, where boys pick up the girls for the date. That was quite impressive. The girls were pleasantly surprised to see them. And as Varun was gelling quite well with all the girls, Bianca asked him to go with her to the pool, to which he kindly refused. Well, so the 2 boys and the 3 girls set out for the date, which was incidentally in Splitsvilla's lawns itself. Hmmm, I wonder why? Why not take them somewhere else like the previous 2 dates?

The Date
The date was in what looked like a tent like structure with white linens hanging in the background. The guys were seated with girls at both sides. So Yamini started off trying to bring some fun element to the date. (By the way, it looked like everyone was having a bad time.) So once Yamini started talking non-stop, the rest 2 girls didn't know what to do. So in between Hoorzan interfered. Then again, Annie asked whether she could sing a song. Well, it was a nice effort,(Vishal seemed to like it also), but quite frankly it was very typical and boring.

No 'Laughing' matter this
Hoorzan, though wasn't doing anything to lighten up the mood of the date, couldn't stop laughing when Annie started singing. And trying not to distract Annie, she got up and went outside. This was the second turn off for Vishal, who really got irritated with her.(What ticked him off? Was it that Hoorzan was laughing at Annie that made him feel bad, so maybe the date was really getting on to his nerves and he vented the anger at the wrong person.)

Elimination
By now, I guess, those watching the show already knew that Hoorzan might have to pay for this. Then the show turned quite predictable as to who would be going home. The elimination round came and Hoorzan read out a poem she had composed and she also knew, her time was up. Then she said what she felt about each of the guys. Vishal pounced on her accusing her of not trying enough, and how she could 'insult' the other girls by laughing. He then turned to the other 2 asking how they could tolerate her nonsense. (A tad egoistic we are, ain't we Vishal?)

Chivalry or Ego?
All in all, what was being portrayed as a 'tense situation' so badly by the MTV crew, was actually very hilarious and entertaining. And all the credits go to Hoorzan, who kept smiling the whole time and gave the guys back a lashing. The guys kept saying that she had a superiority complex and too much attitude, while it just didn't seem to affect the Dame one bit. And then the 2 guys looked like they were groping in the dark wondering what to say next, to bring some remorse on her face. Too bad, it didn't work.

So as I was already sure of the outcome, Hoorzan was DUMPED. But the way she coolly sailed through the entire show, it really stands to see who was the clear winner. Like her parting repartee was - hope the guys don't get dumped. Way to go, Hoorzan!
