IPL Second Season Match Schedule

After weeks of suspense and intense debate, finally IPL is on with it's second season. Instead of Indian Premier League it will now be Non-Residential Indian Premier League taking place in South Africa as announced by IPL commissioner Lalit Modi & Cricket South Africa Chief Executive Gerald Majola on 24th March. The IPL season 2 will start with the inaugural match being played on 18th April. IPL 2009 will kick off at the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town on April 18 with a match between Mumbai Indians & Chennai Super Kings. While the final will be held at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on May 24 according to the new schedule.
In all, the 59 matches will be held in eight cities: Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria, East London, Kimberly, Bloemfontein and Port Elizabeth.
