Bangkok, Thailand, is still recovering from the extravaganza that is the IIFA (International Indian Film Awards), which concluded on Sunday. The Bachchans - including Amitabh, Jaya, Abhishek and Aishwarya - charmed audiences and fans alike. Abhishek and Ash, however, did not bag an award for Guru, which was nominated in the Best Film, Best Actor and Best Actress categories, among others.
Ironically, Shah Rukh Khan, whose films won most of the awards - nine for Chak De! India including best actor and best film, and five for Om Shanti Om - was not present at the show.
