The new era of Film Promotions

In the recent past, we have seen how bollywood movies are being promoted hugely through different means. Initially what used to be just posters and banners are now making their ways into Television by the casts appearing in popular TV serials, different cable channels, websites promotions through wallpapers and music reviews, holding a private screening for all the special guests, special launching parties, music shows and promotions, interviews with the media, blogs of stars where they speak about their films etc.

Promoting Love Story 2050
Love Story 2050 - the movie is being promoted in a huge manner. Harry Baweja does not want to leave any stones left unturned for his son's debut. They have targeted the children group by selling merchandises that will come to stores now. The line of products includes soft toys(particularly the one pink soft toy which is called 'Boo' and is seen being carried around by Priyanka in the film), coloring books, comics and even home furnishings.

The film has partnerships with software company Sun Microsystem. The movie is filled with hi-tech gadgets, from flying cars, holograms, laser guns to ninjas, the film has got new gadgets and high technology in every scene. Harman has already been promoting the films merchandise in Mumbai. This was the similar style of promotions for the movie Krrish, which did the film a lot of good.

Promoting Jaane Tu ya Jaane Na

Well, the music of this film has been doing its rounds in all the music channels. The music was launched on May 20th itself, a month well in advance. Having the music genius, A R Rahman, as the music director, Aamir Khan has taken up the responsibility of the movie promotions(One cannot resist to remember the olden days when Faisal Khan made his debut). Having gone through those tough times, Aamir is very optimistic about his nephew's new film.

Aamir Khan said that when he started his film 'Qayamat se Qayamat tak', it was Shammi Kapoor who gave him his blessings. And also when he debuted as Director in 'Taare Zameen Par', Shammi Kapoor has turned out to be his lucky mascot. So it couldn't have been anyone else other than Shammi Kapoor, who unveiled the music at the Music Launch for 'Jaane Tu ya Jaane Na'.
