Get your gear and set out for your Monsoon getaway

The first rain brings joy and happiness and washes away all the stress. The heat and dust of the summer is swept away with the drizzle and smell of wet ground is just as alluring. You don’t feel like going to college or to work and just want to sit and enjoy every drop of rain with a hot cup of Masala Chai and some spicy delicious pakodas / bhajiye. It’s not the time to dress up and head for any gathering or parties rather it’s time to get drenched and enjoy the rain with friends and families. 

 

Monsoon is the perfect time to enjoy long drives, sipping cutting chai in a tapri (small tea stall by the roadside). Could anything else be the perfect excuse to get away from hectic crowd of the cities? A trip to any of the Konkan destination would be an experience in itself and memory for lifetime. The hills are alive, kicking and calling covered in a thicket of lush green grass and trickles of springs and water falls streaming down the 'ghats'. This is the best time for trekking and water sports.
