Boarding Schools in Pune

India’s first Prime Minister, Shri Jawahar Lal Nehru had called Pune “The Oxford of the East." This explains what Pune has to offer in terms of education. Pune attracts students from all over the world. Primary education begins in schools, which are either run by the PMC or privately by trusts and individuals. The colleges in Pune are affiliated to the University of Pune which was established in 1948. Since then the University has become one of the leading centers for research and teaching in the country. Pune is also a home to large number of boarding schools that are popular through out the country. These boarding schools are famous for libraries, sports grounds, hi-tech lab facilities and so on. The boarding schools in Pune have produced thousands of well groomed students who had their presence felt in all the important areas of activities, within India and abroad. Some of the Pune boarding schools are quite famous throughout the country. Often it is considered as a privilege to be a part of Pune boarding school. They not only aim to provide academic education but also inculcate certain social qualities of responsibility, love, fellow discipline, sincerity etc. The school campus has separate boarding facilities for boys and girls. Children get all the good facilities with very good infrastructure, good school buildings, libraries, playgrounds, laboratories etc. Residential schools in Pune are almost at par with other good residential schools in India.
