Armed Forces Medical College is one of the prestigious medical institutes of the country, which is acknowledged for its excellence and research in the medical field. AFMC is the first college in Asia that is set up by any country’s armed forces. As the name suggests the college caters to medical training keeping in mind the health care needs of the Armed Forces. This institute was established on May 1, 1948 and it always has been in top 3 Medical colleges of the country. Their curriculum includes training of under-graduates, post-graduate, dental postgraduates and nursing students to provide specialists and super specialists in medical field to serve Armed Forces.
