'Splitsvilla' at MTV after Roadies 5.0

About the show:

Splitsvilla aired its pilot on Saturday, May 31st. It is a romance reality show, wherein 20 girls would compete to woo 2 boys. It won’t be only for love, name, fame or money. But for a chance to become MTV’s first couple video jockey (VJ). The show is expected to be full of excitement, romance, heart breaks and competition.

Splitsvilla has been shot entirely in Goa, as it is one of the most romantic places in India and the flavour of the place will add value to the show. The format is a unique and rare one where the girls would try their best to impress the boys. The three girls with the lowest scores of each round would accompany the two boys on a date. The boys, who for a change would be the choosers, would mutually agree on dumping one girl.

The 13 one-hour episode replaces Roadies on Saturdays, at 7 pm. For the first season of Splitsvilla, MTV has roped in Vodafone as title sponsor. The associate sponsors include Wild Stone, Tiger, No Marks and Archies Gallery. While the partners are msn.com, IBN7, Red FM, PVR, Mocha and Cosmopolitan Magazine.
